Officer Injured In Tassajara Road Accident

An Alameda County Sheriff's motorcycle officer was flown to a Walnut Creek trauma center Thursday morning.

An Alameda County Sheriff's motorcycle officer was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek after being injured in a crash in Dublin Thursday morning.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Steve Creel, at around 7:30a.m. the officer was doing red light traffic enforcement in the area and was going after a traffic violator when he was involved in a crash with a Toyota Tundra pick-up. The accident occurred at the intersection of Tassajara and Fallon roads.

Creel said that the officer suffered lower body injuries and was flown to the Walnut Creek trauma center for treatment.
