These young Tri-Valley residents rely upon Kaleidoscope for independent living, job training, community integration skills, as well as a place to discover and build life-long relationships. Families also depend on Kaleidoscope to provide a safe, stable, nurturing environment for their child after-school and through the summer. Kaleidoscope was named .

A benefit for Kaleidoscope, the Festival of Art and Sound, will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 2p.m. to 5p.m. at 7425 Larkdale Ave in Dublin (at the Kaleidoscope program’s facilities). Proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to buy another minivan for Kaleidoscope to increase job training and community integration opportunities for the children who attend the Kaleidoscope program.

The Kaleidoscope Festival of Art and Sound has a lot to offer:

  1. Free admission
  2. Three live bands: SemiSound, a Dublin-based indie dance rock band, The Frayed Knots, a San Francisco-based bluegrass band, and Taboo Guru, a Martinez-based rock band
  3. Delicious BBQ’d food (hamburgers, hotdogs, and veggie burgers), courtesy of the Dublin Lions Club
  4. Wine and premium brewery ales and lagers
  5. Children’s play area, including face painting, cake walk, arts and crafts, and other fun activities (all free)
  6. Silent auction with so many wonderful items. Includes a Skybox, 24 tickets and parking passes for an A’s game (donated by Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty), a baseball signed by Giant’s catcher Buster Posey, and numerous other items (Livermore wine tastings/tours, Tri-Valley dinner and hotel gift certificates, etc.)
