Watch This Dublin Teacher Get a Pie in the Face

Students happily paid to throw plates of whipped cream at their favorite teachers and teachers took the dessert attack with good humor— all in the name of fundraising.

Call it a simple pleasure or a cheap thrill but sometimes watching someone take a pie to the face is all you need to brighten your day.

Students at the annual John Green Elementary Fall Festival were mesmerized watching P.E. teacher Denny Molzen, who donned goggles, a plastic poncho and a cardboard cut-out as protection so students could toss, smash and smear whipped cream-filled plates at his face. Molzen even shows a little Ninja how to hold the plate so the pie hits its mark.

Don't get too much schadenfreude in watching this video, though, because you could end up with more than just egg on your face if you are the next person volunteered to be a good sport in the name of a school fundraiser.

The John Green Elementary Fall Festival included food trucks, music, magic, carnival games, cotton candy, "trunk-or-treating" and a chili cook-off. Laurel McMahon won the chili cook-off, according to Colleen Pearson, who helped coordinate the event. Pearson, Danielle Cooper, Adriana Hawk, Mary Grace Gaviano, Lisa Dougherty and Kim Mehr were on the committee for this year's festival.
