'Observant Neighbor' Calls Police Leading to Arrest of Burglary Suspect

Wayne Barfield, 19, was arrested by police after being found in possession of items stolen from the home.

Information from Dublin Police—

Dublin Police responded to Cedar Way for a report of a residential burglary in progress on Thursday, September 19, 2013, about 9:05 a.m.  

An observant neighbor reported a male subject trying to enter the residence next to his knowing the owners were out of town. 

Dublin Police arrived at the residence and immediately set up a perimeter. The suspect, later identified as Wayne Barfield of Dublin and Oakland, exited the rear of the residence and was taken into custody.

A search of the suspect revealed he was in possession of possible stolen items from the residence. The victims were notified of the burglary and are enroute back to Dublin to meet with detectives.
