Dad, Daughter Hit By Car at Corwood Carwash

The 7-year-old girl was taken to Children's Hospital and the man was taken to Eden Hospital, where he is undergoing surgery, police say.

A man and his 7-year-old daughter were injured after they were hit by a car while waiting at the Corwood Carwash located at 6973 Village Parkway.

Police were called at about 11 a.m., after a van driven by a car wash employee hit the father and daughter, who had been sitting on a bench at the car wash. According to a statement issued by Dublin police, a car wash employee, who was driving the van from the car wash accelerated, striking the man and the child.

Police say the 7-year-old was airlifted to Children’s Hospital and that her injuries are being evaluated. Her father, 36, was transported to Eden Hospital and underwent surgery for his injuries. Police are investigating the collision.
