Meena Tafazzoli, Neighbor

Meena has been enthralled by the power of words since she learned to read and write in English in the first grade. She was also the News section editor of Cal High&#39;s student newspaper, <i>The Californian. </i>

She has been swimming competitively on the SRVLA year-round team since age seven, which translates to some 3,000 hours in the pool. Outside of school and swimming, Meena takes part in Model UN at Cal High.

She will be attending UC San Diego in the fall.
