Kids Honored as Mayor's Reading Challenge Comes to an End

Dublin community celebrated with cookies and punch at library reception.

Mayor Tim Sbranti and the hosted the Mayor's Reading Challenge which came to an end August 15. 

The library's Summer Reading Program, "Reading is so Delicious," started June 11 and continued until August 11. 

As an added incentive, Mayor Sbranti challenged Dublin students to participate in the Mayor's Reading Challenge 2012.

Out of the 71 children who signed up, 13 completed it, logging in 100 hours of reading this Summer.

The community gathered at the library Wednesday night with punch and cookies to celebrate the reading achievements while Mayor Sbranti handed out certificates.
