Beat the Heat: Cooling Centers Now Open in Dublin

Starting today, The City of Dublin welcome residents to cool down at three locations.

Summer is quickly ramping up with temperatures rising over 100 degrees so far and Dublin residents should be aware of dangers such as heat exhaustion or stroke.

Today, has welcome residents to air conditioned facilities —the perfect place to relax while beating the sweltering heat.

The Dublin Public Library opens today at 12pm-8pm. It is located at 200 Civic Plaza. Enjoy seating throughout in a quiet environment while reading with your family. For more information please call (925) 803-7252 or visit their .

The Dublin Senior Center offers a lounge complete with a lending library, games, puzzles, computers and a television. They are located at 7600 Amador Valley Boulevard and will be open until 7pm. There is no admission fee. For more information please call (925) 556-4511 or visit their website.

The Dublin Swim Center is the perfect place to lay out, swim with the kids, and enjoy a wading pool. The Swim Center is located at 8157 Village Parkway, right across from . The pool features a 10-foot long waterslide that is sure to be a splashing hit. Recreational swim hours are from 1-4:30pm and this evening from 7-9pm.
