The Alameda County Deputy Sheriff's Sports Association is hosting its 10th annual Jail Break Run Sunday in Dublin, with proceeds benefitting Special Olympics Northern California.

Race selections include 5K and 10K runs, with Alameda County SWAT team members joining runners on the 10K course.

Kids, ages 6 and younger, can pick a half-mile route; children, 7 to 10 years old, can join the one-mile fun run.

Races begin from the Sheriff's Regional Training Center, adjacent to the Santa Rita Jail, on 6289 Broder Boulevard near Madigan Road.

Accroding to organizers, the 5K course is a flat, fast, figure-eight loop, and the 10K is primarily flat with one hill, the same hill that must be mastered by SWAT recruits.
