Wiley - Senior dog would make great companion for Senior Citizen

Wiley is a senior male Papillion and Chihuahua mix looking for a home.

Meet Wiley… a 10 year old Papillion and Chihuahua mix.  Wiley is a very sweet loving boy.  He has lived his life being a loyal companion but his loyalty far outweighed his humans.  See Wiley was left with a neighbor to care for while his family went on vacation, somehow Wiley ended up at the Madera shelter.

When the owner was notified, they claimed they did not have the $100 dollars to bail him out of the shelter and did not come for him.  So he was taken by Stonecliffe Animal Rescue, a dog they knew would be hard to place at 10 years old, but also a dog that had been a faithful companion for 10 years, should not die there alone wondering why his people never came.

Shortly after coming to Stonecliffe, the rescue made contact with the previous owner, significantly reducing the fee to come and get him.  She said again she had no money, but she would come to get him on the way to the coast.   She never came.

Now to most of us, this makes no sense because we would beg, borrow or steal to save our canine companion’s life and be reunited.  At this point, we will not judge the human actions; we just want Wiley to know the love of a good person in his senior years, to know that he was a good devoted companion and to continue to be loved and cherished, maybe as never before.

If you are interested in giving Wiley his happily ever after, please contact Stonecliffe Animal Rescue by emailing stoneclifferescue@hotmail.com or contacting us on Facebook, search "Stonecliffe Animal Rescue"  or come to our adoption event on Saturday, October 6th at the Dublin Petsmart at 6960 Amador Plaza Road, Dublin, CA.  Wiley’s adoption fee is $150 and if anyone 60 or older is interested, there is a $50 discount available. He is housetrained and weighs about 10 lbs.

Please remember… don’t breed or buy while shelter pets die.  And Paw It Forward, become a foster home and save a life, make a difference.
