Monte Vista girls avoid an upset while Clayton Valley boys surprise Concord and SRV's Louks scores 45 points

BOYS

San Ramon Valley 71  Livermore 53

San Ramon Valley High snapped a two-game losing streak by cruising past Livermore High, 71-53.

The Wolves' Logan Louks scored 45 points in the victory. McKayle Harnell scored 19 points for Livermore.

San Ramon Valley had lost six of their previous seven coming into the game. They are now 7-10 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Livermore falls to 6-11 and 0-5 in league play. They have now lost six of their past seven games.

De La Salle 55  Granada 36

De La Salle High dominated Granada High, 55-36, to stretch their latest winning streak to four games.

The Spartans led 27-17 at the half, then outscored Granada by 10 points in the third quarter to put the game away.

De La Salle is now 14-2 overall and 4-1 in league play.

Granada is 10-6 on the season and 2-3 in league play. The Matadors have lost three in a row.

Amador Valley 63  California 51

Amador Valley High won its third straight game by downing California High, 63-51.

The Dons built up a 35-23 halftime lead and coasted to victory.

Amador Valley is now 12-6 overall and 3-2 in league play. They've won three in a row.

California is 9-8 on the season and 3-2 in league play.

Monte Vista 62  Foothill 45

Monte Vista High continued its winning ways by defeating Foothill High, 62-45.

The Mustangs got out to a 37-22 halftime lead to secure the victory.

Monte Vista is now 12-5 overall and 4-1 in league play. They've won three in a row and seven of their past eight.

Foothill is 6-11 on the season and 2-3 in league. They had won two in a row coming into the game.

DVAL

Clayton Valley 54  Concord 45

Clayton Valley High surprised Concord High, 54-45.

The game was close throughout with the Eagles holding a slim 25-21 lead at the half.

Clayton Valley is now 11-6 on the season and 2-2 in league play. They've won three in a row.

Concord is 12-6 overall and 3-2 in league play. They had won six of their previous seven games.

Northgate 84  Ygnacio Valley 27

Northgate High buried Ygnacio Valley High, 84-27.

The Broncos are now 10-8 overall and 2-2 in league play.

Ygnacio Valley falls to 0-17 on the season and 0-4 in league.

College Park 81  Mt. Diablo 36

College Park High blasted Mt. Diablo High, 81-36.

College Park improved its record to 12-6 overall and 4-0 in league play.

Mt. Diablo fell to 3-14 on the season and 0-5 in league. They've now lost 10 in a row.

GIRLS

Monte Vista 42  Foothill 41 (OT)

Monte Vista High barely avoided an upset by defeating Foothill High, 42-41, in overtime.

The Mustangs held a 10-point advantage entering the fourth period, but Foothill put on a strong comeback to tie the game in regulation. Monte Vista outscored the Falcons, 6-5, in the overtime.

Monte Vista improves to 12-5 on the season and 4-1 in league. They've won three straight.

Foothill drops to 7-10 overall and 2-3 in league. They had won two in a row.

Carondelet 56  Granada 42

Carondelet High continued its march through the EBAL with a 56-42 win over Granada High.

The Cougars bounced back after their 73-58 loss Monday to St. Mary's High of Stockton. Carondelet is now 13-3 overall and 5-0 in league play. They've won five of their past six games.

Granada falls to 12-5 on the season and 2-3 in league play. The Matadors have now lost three straight.

Livermore 57  San Ramon Valley 40

Livermore High built up an early lead and coasted to victory over San Ramon Valley, 57-40.

Livermore led 37-12 at halftime on their way to a convincing win.

Livermore is now 10-7 overall and 3-2 in league. They've won three of their past four games.

San Ramon Valley is 7-10 on the season and 0-5 in league. The Wolves have dropped seven in a row.

Amador Valley 79  California 60

Amador Valley High cruised to a 79-60 win over California High.

The Dons held a 13-point advantage at halftime and finished strong in the final period for the victory. Junior guard Ariah Mack scored 17 points in the victory.

Amador Valley is now 12-5 on the season and 2-3 in league play. They've won three straight.

California falls to 6-11 overall and 2-3 in league.

DVAL

Clayton Valley 75  Concord 15

Clayton Valley High crushed Concord High, 75-15.

The Eagles led 23-4 at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. Senior guard Karley Menez scored 20 for the victors.

Clayton Valley is now 9-9 on the season and 3-1 in league.

Concord is 7-12 overall and 2-3 in league.

College Park 63  Mt. Diablo 30

College Park High dominated Mt. Diablo High, 63-30.

College Park led 43-7 at half and cruised the rest of the way.

Mt. Diablo is now 2-13 overall and 0-4 in league play.

MVAL

James Logan 51  Newark Memorial 34

James Logan High continued its winning ways by downing Newark Memorial, 51-34.

The Colts have won five straight. They are 12-7 overall and 4-1 in league play.

Newark Memorial falls to 9-9 on the season and 2-2 in league. They've now lost two straight after winning their three previous games.
