Northgate and Dublin boys fall short in title quests while Northgate girls win league crown

Here are some of the scores from high school basketball action in the East Bay on Tuesday night.

BOYS

DFAL

Campolindo 67  Dublin 65

Campolindo High clinched the DFAL title by narrowly defeating Dublin High, 67-65.

Campolindo led 18-5 after the first period and 34-25 at halftime. However, the Gaels chipped away at the lead in the second half until falling two points short.

Dublin was led once again by junior guard Jamir Andrews, who scored 31 points.

The Gaels are 16-9 overall and 7-4 in league. They've lost three of their past four games.

Campolindo is now 20-4 on the season and 9-2 in league.

Dougherty Valley 61  Alhambra 59

Dougherty Valley High hung on to eke out a victory over Alhambra High, 61-59.

The Wildcats led 28-19 at halftime, but Alhambra chipped away before falling two points short.

Dougherty Valley improves to 15-11 overall and 4-8 in league.

Alhambra falls to 5-18 and 0-12 in league.

DVAL

College Park 53  Northgate 43

College Park High wrapped up the DVAL title by defeating Northgate High, 53-43.

The Falcons took a 30-23 lead into halftime and then kept the Broncos at bay in the second half.

Junior Joe Pelletier had 13 rebounds and five points for Northgate. They are now 16-9 overall and 8-3 in league. They had won seven in a row.

College Park improves to 18-7 and 10-1 in league. They've won five straight.

Clayton Valley 67  Ygnacio Valley 38

Clayton Valley High opened up a big lead in the second quarter and cruised to a 67-38 victory over Ygnacio Valley High. 

The Eagles scored 24 points in the second period to forge a 35-13 halftime lead. They were led by senior guard Craig Ihle, who scored 19 points.

Clayton Valley is now 16-9 overall and 7-4 in league. They've won three straight.

Ygnacio Valley falls to 1-24 and 0-11 in league.

EBAL

De La Salle 67  Foothill 38

De La Salle High captured another EBAL title by breezing past Foothill High, 67-38.

The Spartans built up a 39-23 halftime advantage and then steadily pulled away from Foothill in the second half.

De La Salle is now 23-2 overall and 12-1 in league. They've won 13 in a row.

Foothill falls to 9-16 and 5-8 in league. They've dropped three straight.

Monte Vista 70  California 47

Monte Vista High cruised past California High, 70-47.

The Mustangs led 39-26 at halftime and put the game away with a big fourth quarter.

Monte Vista is now 18-7 overall and 10-3 in league play. They've won three of their past four games.

California drops to 11-14 overall and 5-8 in league.

San Ramon Valley 44  Granada 42

San Ramon Valley High surprised Granada High with a come-from-behind, 44-42, victory.

Granada led 27-16 at halftime, but the Wolves cut the margin to 36-33 at the end of the third period before overtaking the Matadors in the final quarter.

San Ramon Valley is now 10-15 overall and 5-8 in league. They had lost three of their previous four games.

Granada falls to 16-8 on the season and 8-5 in league. They had won six of their previous seven games.

GIRLS

DVAL

Northgate 73  College Park 57

Northgate High clinched the DVAL title with a convincing 73-57 win over College Park High.

The Broncos led 38-27 at halftime and lengthened that margin to 61-39 at the end of the third period.

Northgate was led by senior guard Greer Kleber, who poured in 32 points, and junior guard Meghan Blough, who contributed 23 points.

The Broncos are now 16-9 overall and 11-0 in league play. They've won six straight.

College Park falls to 13-12 oveall and 6-5 in league.

Clayton Valley 67  Ygnacio Valley 17

Clayton Valley High extended its winning streak by clobbering Ygnacio Valley High, 67-17.

The Eagles led 34-9 at halftime and cruised the rest of the way.

Clayton Valley is now 16-10 overall and 9-2 in league play. They've won five in a row.

Ygnacio Valley is 0-21 on the season and 0-11 in league.

Berean Christian 60  Concord 31

Berean Christian High continued its winning ways by dismantling Concord High, 60-31.

The Eagles led 30-14 at halftime and slowly expanded their margin in the second half. They were led by senior forward Jessica Vestal, who scored 27 points.

EBAL

Carondelet 70  Foothill 58

Carondelet High survived a strong challenge from Foothill High before emerging victorious, 70-58.

The Cougars led 35-30 at halftime and only 52-47 after three periods before putting away Foothill.

Carondelet was led by senior Hannah Huffman, who posted 34 points.

Carondelet is now 22-3 overall and 13-0 in league. They've won 10 straight.

Foothill falls to 13-12 overall and 8-5 in league. They had won six in a row.

Monte Vista 58  California 33

Monte Vista High got back on the winning track by demolishing California High, 58-33.

The Mustangs led 25-16 at halftime and then pulled away in the second half.

Monte Vista, which was upset by Foothill High on Friday, is now 20-5 overall and 10-3 in league.

California is 8-18 and 4-9 in league. They've lost five straight.

DFAL

Dublin 62  Campolindo 60

Dublin High won a tight, thrilling match, 62-60, over Campolindo High.

The game was close throughout with the Gaels leading 34-31 at halftime and then hanging on for the two-point win.

Dublin was led by junior guard Alison Martinez, who scored 21 points, including four three-pointers.

Dublin is now 16-8 overall and 7-4 in league. They've won four straight.

Campolindo drops to 11-13 and 6-5 in league.

Dougherty Valley 72  Alhambra 19

Dougherty Valley High continued their winning ways by crushing Alhambra High, 72-19.

The Wildcats led 46-9 at halftime and coasted the rest of the way. They were led by senior guard Jackie Taylor, who scored 19 points and had five steals as well as senior center/forward Treyvonna Brooks, who put in 16 points and snared 10 rebounds.

Dougherty Valley is now 17-8 overall and 9-2 in league. They've won eight of their past nine games.

Alhambra drops to 11-15 and 2-10 in league. They've lost four straight.
