100th Bay to Breakers Expo

The Expo is where all the pre-race action takes place. It has a new location this year: The San Francisco Design Center: 
635 8th St., at Brannan Street.

Today's Expo is 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Highlight is: You can buy 2004 Olympic silver medalist Meb Keflezighi's book Run to Overcome at his booth and meet him in person. 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

What is there to do at the Expo?

  • Visit the Patch.com booth and enter our drawing for an original iPad or Kindle. (Look for us near the Geico and Barefoot booths.)
  • Pick up your race packet (race bib, timing tag, race guide, etc.).
  • Pick up your participant T-shirt or pre-ordered tech T-shirt (you must have your race bib to pick up any shirt).
  • Solve outstanding issues at the Solutions Desk.
  • Purchase Bauer's or Muni shuttle stickers.
  • Enjoy the variety of outstanding exhibitors, food/beverage sampling and sports apparel for sale.
  • Purchase unique 100th Zazzle Bay to Breakers commemorative merchandise.
  • Enjoy the historic Zazzle Bay to Breakers retrospective exhibition featuring memorabilia from 1912-2011.

How to get there: Visitors are encouraged to take Muni. The N and T trains stop at Fourth and King Streets, four blocks from the Concourse building. The 9, 10, 19 and 47 bus lines also service the area. Check www.511.org to map your route.

There is a paid parking lot adjacent to the Concourse building with a limited number of parking spots, as well as metered street parking and other parking garages in the area.

Saturday the Expo is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Other Saturday activities include:

  • Meet and talk with ultramarathoner Dean Karnazes in the VW space — noon to 3 p.m.
  • Autograph session with 49er Reggie Smith in the Power Balance booth — 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • 2004 Olympic silver medalist Meb Keflezighi will be selling his book Run to Overcome and chatting with fans in his booth — 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.
