Dublin Dawgs Baseball Team Heading to New York

The team had a send-off at the Elephant Bar on July 1.

Information from Karen Chamberlain--

The Northern California #2 ranked Dublin Dawgs are headed for Cooperstown, NY this week.  The DAWGS 12U team and their families will leave for Cooperstown to play in a week long, high caliber, baseball tournament.  The DAWGS organization and parents have been planning this trip for a few years - the DAWGS Casino Night Fundraiser, held in early February, helped to offset the cost to get the team to Cooperstown.

Last night's send-off was held at the Elephant Bar in Dublin where players and their families gathered for a good luck farewell from the DAWGS Founder/President, Hank & Karen Chamberlain and current & former trainers, coaches, and guests. The team was presented with a DAWGS banner to carry in the opening ceremony and trading pins to trade with other teams from around the country.  We are all very excited and DAWG pound proud!

The DAWGS Baseball Club, established in June, 2010, currently has five teams playing in travel ball tournaments.  The 12U team was the 1st team to represent the club and helped to define the DAWGS mission statement:

Dublin Dawgs Baseball Club is a non-profit organization, within the Dublin community, whose goal is to teach advanced baseball skills and strategies for youth between  7-13 years of age. To develop competitive tournament teams for each age group while advancing the level of excellence in the game of baseball.  Our purpose is to provide training at a minimal cost through volunteering, sponsorship, donations and fundraising opportunities. Dublin Dawgs Baseball Club is fortunate to be supported byDublin high school baseball and its coaching stafF.

The DAWGS organization would like to thank our families for their support in achieving  a "once in a lifetime dream" to play ball in Cooperstown.

Congratulations - 12U Coaches Aaron Mayer & Perry Liu & players:
