'Sufficiency of Instructional Materials' School Board Meeting to Be Held

The meeting, which is required by the Education Code, will be held on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m.

Information from the Dublin Unified School District—

The governing board of the Dublin Unified School District, in order to comply with the requirements of Education Code Section 60119, will hold a public hearing on October 8, 2013 not before 7:00 p.m. at the Dublin Unified School District Board of Trustees Meeting, which is on or before the eighth week of school.

The information provided at the public hearing and to the governing board at the public meeting will detail the extent to which textbooks and instructional materials are provided to all students, including English Learners, in the district, and the definition of “sufficient textbooks or instructional materials” means that each pupil has a textbook or instructional materials, or both, aligned to the content standards to use in class and take home.
