School District Seeking Surplus Property Committee Members

Applications are due by Monday, April 8 at 4:30 p.m.

From the Dublin Unified School District:

The Dublin Unified School District is seeking volunteers to serve on a Surplus Property (7-11) Advisory Committee, which is being formed to determine the best use of the district's surplus property, specifically the former Nielsen Elementary School site and the district office. Pursuant to Education Codes 17388, 17389 the committee shall have at least seven (7) members and no more than eleven (11) members and shall be representative of each of the following:

1. The ethnic, age group, and socioeconomic composition of the district;

2. The business community, such as store owners, managers, or supervisors;

3. Landowners or renters, with preference to be given to representatives of neighborhood
associations;

4. Teachers;

5. Administrators;

6. Parents of students; and

7. Persons with expertise in environmental impact, legal contracts, building codes, and land-use planning specific to the city of Dublin and county of Alameda.
