“I’m thrilled and honored to have been selected as principal of Fallon Middle School,” Sweeney said. “Fallon has earned an excellent reputation during its short history, and we are poised to build on that strong foundation in the coming years.”

After practicing law early in her career, Sweeney began her teaching career as a 6
grade English and Social Studies teacher. Most recently, she served as an and 7th
instructional program specialist at Oak Grove Middle School in the Mt. Diablo School District.

Mrs. Sweeney’s appointment became effective July 1. She replaces Aileen Parsons, who accepted a principal position in the Pleasanton Unified School District.
An Oklahoma native, Sweeney received her B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Tulsa and her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Yale University.
She practiced law in Houston, Texas before earning her teaching credential at Chapman University and earned her Masters in Educational Leadership from Brandman University.

The Dublin Unified School District welcomes Mrs. Sheryl Sweeney to Fallon Middle
School and the Dublin Community.

“I was attracted to the Dublin Unified School District and to Fallon Middle School by
the strong commitment of administrators, teachers, support staff and parents to work collaboratively in the best interest of students,” Sweeney said. “I'm eager to be part of a professional learning community dedicated to continuous improvement of student learning, and I know that members of the Fallon team are prepared to use research validated strategies and cutting edge technology to ensure that students are mastering the skills necessary for success in our local, national, and global community.”
