"This Basketball tournament represents the expansion of Special Olympics Northern California's Schools Partnership Program into Tri-Valley," said Cathy DeVries, vice president of schools and youth services. "After a successful soccer competition in Dublin, the collaboration between school districts, has made it possible for Special Olympics to develop a strong program for the Tri-Valley.  Further expansion will be possible with additional funding and support from individuals and corporations that call the Tri-Valley home."

A track and field training culminating in a track meet is scheduled on May 23 at Dublin High School.
