Lauren McGovern Appointed Principal of Dublin Elementary School

The Dublin Unified School District Board of Trustees recently approved personnel appointments of three leadership vacancies in the district.

Principals:

Ms. Lauren McGovern has been appointed as the new principal of . Ms. McGovern has been in the district for the past eight years as an elementary school teacher and most recently as a teacher on special assignment at Dublin Elementary and Green Elementary Schools. She previously served as an elementary school teacher in Livermore. Ms. McGovern will begin in her new position on July 1, 2012.

District Leadership:

Ms. Tess Johnson has been appointed as the Coordinator of Educational
Services at the district office. Ms. Johnson has served as principal of Dublin Elementary School and Fallon School. She previously served in administrative positions in Alameda, Castro Valley and Pleasanton. Mrs. Lynn Medici has been appointed as the Director of Elementary Education at the district office. Mrs. Medici has been the principal of Dougherty and Kolb Elementary Schools and previously served in administrative positions in the Hayward Unified School District.

Both Mrs. Medici and Ms. Johnson will begin in their new positions on July 1, 2012.
