High School Football Playoffs: Dublin vs. Livermore

The Gaels and Cowboys hook up Friday night in a NCS Division II battle. Valley Christian also plays on Friday evening.

Dublin High and Livermore High football teams will face each other in the first round of the NCS Division II playoffs.

The game begins at 7 p.m. Friday at Dublin High.

Eighth ranked Dublin is 6-4 on the season. The Gaels have lost three of their past four games.

Ninth ranked Livermore is 2-8 on the season, having lost its past eight games.

This is the first time the Cowboys, who dropped down to Division II, have made the playoffs since 1999. Livermore defeated the only two Division II teams it played this season to qualify for the tournament.

Valley Christian High of Dublin also plays Friday night in the Division IV bracket. The second ranked Eagles take on 15th ranked Drake-San Anselmo High.

Valley Christian is 8-2 this season, having won its past four games.

Drake High is 5-5 this year, having lost two of its past three games.

This game will be played at Chabot College.
