Starting September 1st, Lice Control will take part in a nationwide program that was born out of the need to be aware that children are not the only ones
that will be going back to school. Head lice can be a problem at the beginning of the school year, so Lice Control has decided to be proactive by providing the public with this free service every Saturday in the month of September, a $25 value.
Lice infestation is a problem that affects millions of people worldwide each year. Primarily found in school-aged children three to 11 years old, head lice infestation often flies under the radar of parents until it hits home, leaving busy families with kids sent home from school and a range of confusing and potentially unhealthful treatment options to research. Shampoos, and other
over the counter products, often contain chemical-based pediculicides that have been shown to have adverse health effects in some children. Manual processes, while safe and chemical-free, can be expensive, often requiring between two and four appointments to ensure all bugs and eggs are completely removed.
Lice Control not only provides individual head checks, but also for entire schools.
“Prevention is key to having a great start for schools, parents and children” Ray advises. “If the problem is not caught in the September, the problem can perpetuate into 2013”.
“We have been in the East Bay for 13 years now and we would love to offer free screenings at this time of year during “Head Lice Awareness Month.”, says Ray Ruiz, Owner of Lice Control, “especially in our brand new salon!” Ray is considered an old timer when it comes to longevity in this industry. Starting in Sacramento, moving to the East Bay.
Lice Control offers The LouseBuster™ FDA cleared medical device, designed as a safe, effective and fast way to kill head lice and their eggs, compliments the Lice Control philosophy of natural, non-toxic treatment for lice problems. The 30 minute single treatment is 100% guaranteed and lower in cost than the typical professional treatment, unheard of these days.
They also sell preventative products that are clinically tested to work. Ray mentions the awareness that many all natural, non-toxic products that are of a pediculicidal (lice killing) or preventative nature are not clinically tested.
