Football Playoffs: Clayton Valley Rolls Over Dublin High

The top seeded Eagles defeat the eighth seeded Gaels, 47-7

Dublin High's football team's season ended Friday night as the eighth seeded Gaels were soundly defeated by Clayton Valley Charter High.

The top seeded Eagles built a solid halftime lead and then cruised to a 47-7 victory in the second round of the NCS Division II playoffs.

Dublin High finishes the season at 6-6. They had defeated Livermore High, 40-21, last week in the first round of the playoffs.

Clayton Valley is now 10-1. The Eagles' only loss came in the first game of the season against Pittsburg High. They have won 10 straight since.

Next weekend, Clayton Valley will play the winner of tomorrow night's game between fourth seeded Casa Grande High and fifth seeded Concord High.
