The Dublin High School Master Plan is part of the $184 million Measure C Bond passed by the voters in November 2004. The Board of Trustees approved the Dublin High School Master Plan in March of 2005. The Master Plan has been divided into multiple phases, with an emphasis on new academic classrooms, and modernization of the Dublin High School campus.

Phase 2A will be officially dedicated on May 25. This is the largest project in the Dublin High School Master Plan and completes the replacement of all academic classrooms on the campus with new state-of-the-art classroom spaces. The $41 million Phase 2A features 47 new classrooms including art, Social Studies, English, Special Education and World Languages.

The project also includes an administration building and a spacious library with lots of natural light, counseling and career centers. The buildings were occupied during winter break in January 2011.

The project is intended to accommodate increased enrollment at Dublin High School and is certain to improve the educational opportunities for all students. The completion of this first phase of the educational facilities at Dublin High School also offers the residents of Dublin a tangible evidence of their tax dollars at work in our community.

“The new buildings mean a lot for Dublin and our community because they complete the transformation of Dublin High.  We are a great school and now it shows,” said Ben Young, Dublin High School ASB President

Following the Ribbon Cutting and Community Open House, Dublin High will host its second annual “Evening of the Arts” from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., with performances by the DHS Jazz Band; improv scenes and songs; a digital media arts presentation, “Iron Chef” grilling and pastries competition and awards, to name a few.

There will also be ongoing cooking demonstrations, visual arts, interior design and child development student displays, and media demonstrations within the new campus buildings, quad area and the library.

Additional information on both events can be found on the district website at dublinusd.org.
