Foreclosure Workshop and Counseling

Housing and Economic Rights Advocates (HERA) is offering a free Foreclosure Recovery workshop for Tri-Valley homeowners at the City of Dublin Library on November 5th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. HERA is a non-profit legal services and advocacy organization serving the Bay Area.

The seminar is offered for homeowners facing foreclosure. The seminar will describe options to avoid foreclosure, provide advice on working with your servicer to obtain a loan modification and discuss post-foreclosure debt collection.

The seminar is also offered for homeowners who have been victims of or want to protect themselves from foreclosure rescue scams.

Individual counseling with an attorney and/or housing counselors will also be available.

Attendees are encouraged to bring paystubs, recent utility bills, bank statements, loan documents, and letters from their bank and foreclosure notices to get advice and help at the event.

The HERA-sponsored workshop is in partnership the cities of Dublin, Danville, Livermore, Pleasanton, and San Ramon and the Tri Valley Affordable Housing Committee (TVAHC), the Community Housing Development Corporation of North Richmond (CHDC) and the Tri Valley Housing Opportunity Center (TVHOC).
