Back to School Message from the Superintendent

Dr. Stephen Hanke welcomes students back to school.

From Dr. Stephen Hanke, Superintendent

Dear Parents and Guardians:

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, welcome to the 2012-13 school year. We are all excited and energized to begin school next week. Special thanks goes out to our teachers, support staff, leaders and parents who worked diligently to complete preparations and summer cleaning for the start of school. Because of
these extra efforts, we will be “first day ready”. Quality instruction will begin on day one.

In Dublin, our fundamental purpose is student learning. We are focused on providing the highest possible level of learning for every student, in every classroom, at every school. From the Board room to the classroom our mission, core values, and goals for students reflect our commitment to the success of every student.

Your partnership with our schools is essential to seeing this vision for every student become a reality. Thank you for making learning a top priority in your home. You can best accomplish this by ensuring that your child attends school every day that he or she is able; being knowledgeable about his or her progress
in school; and by becoming involved in his or her school life as a volunteer. It makes a big difference and we are very grateful for your support.

In the days and weeks ahead, you will be hearing more about our work as a Professional Learning Community and how you can support these efforts. We hope you will join us in this important journey. It is going to be a challenging, rewarding, wonderful year. I look forward to seeing you at our Back-to-School
nights in the next couple of weeks and in our schools and community throughout the year.

We are Dublin Schools. It’s all about our kids!

Sincerely,
Stephen Hanke, Ed.D.
Superintendent
