November Election Update: Two City Council Candidates So Far

Four other candidates have taken out papers to run for Dublin school board

With five days left to file, two candidates so far are officially on the November ballot in the race for Dublin City Council.

In addition, four candidates have taken out papers to run for the Dublin Unified School District board of education.

Candidates have until Friday to file their papers to be eligible for the Nov. 6 ballot.

There are two council seats and the mayor's slot on the ballot. There are also three school board seats up for grabs.

According to the city clerk's office, nine people have taken out candidacy papers to run for either mayor or council.

So far, only incumbent councilman Kevin Hart and school board member David Haubert have filed their candidacy papers in the council race.

Mayor Tim Sbranti has taken out papers, but he had not turned them in yet.

In the school board race, four people have taken out candidacy papers from the Alameda County Elections Department.

Incumbents Dan Cunningham, Amy Miller and Gregory Tomlinson took out papers as did challenger Austin Ogden, a 2012 Dublin High School graduate. Only Cunningham has filed the candidacy papers.
