Students Demo Award Winning Robot at the Dublin Library

Rob-ART created by Dublin High students on display this Saturday.

The community is invited to drop by the to see a demonstration of Rob-ART, Dublin High Schools’ winning entry at the 9th annual International RoboGames in April, 2012.

students, Joshua Price and Zoie McDougall, will showcase Rob-ART in action, in the Library Community Room on Saturday, May 19 between 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

Rob-ART is an autonomous robot made of VEX Robotics parts built to create a painting on its own.  Rob-ART took first place in the Art-Bot Paint category at Robogames 2012 on April 22.  

Rob-ART was designed, built and programmed in three weeks by Dublin High School Robotics Team members, Joshua Price and Zoie MacDougall, with help from other club members.

RoboGames is considered the Olympics of robots, with people competing from all over the world in 50 different categories. Just as in the Olympics, gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded for each category. 

Experience the excitement of RoboGames and celebrate the success of these Dublin High students while viewing a robot creating art.
