Dublin Students Wanted to Compete in 'Dublin Idol'

The competition will take place at the farmers' market in May.

Do you have a son or daughter who aspires to an American Idol-like career? The City of Dublin wants to hear them sing their hearts out. For the first time, students in the Dublin School District will be able to enter into an idol-like competition hosted by the city.

The competition is open to students in the Dublin Unified School District and students who attend school in other districts as long as they are residents of Dublin. Winners can win between $100 to $300.

The judging will take place at the Dublin Farmers' market in May. Participants can fill out the entry form on the city website by May 14.

Read the full details and rules on the city website.
