Dublin City Council Race 2012: Haubert and Hart Win

Dublin voters fill two seats on the City Council.

Dublin voters re-elected Councilmember Kevin Hart and elected David Haubert on Tuesday.

Hart, with 28 percent of the votes, and Haubert, who received 31 percent, shared their reactions with Dublin Patch.

"I am very grateful to the residents of Dublin, many of whom have supported me for over 10 years, for overwhelmingly electing me to the Dublin City Council," Haubert said. "I promise to work hard to represent their interests in the best way possible. I am also proud to have received such strong support from across all Dublin, winning most precincts."

Hart said he is happy the election is over.

"I am certainly very pleased with the results and looking forward to serving the citizens of Dublin for another four years. There is much work to be done."

Councilmember Kasie Hildenbrand termed out. Mayor Tim Sbranti was unopposed and will retain his seat.
