Celebrity Chef Ryan Scott to Film at Dublin's Splatter Event

Chef Ryan Scott of the new KGO TV show, "Food Rush," will have his crew filming at the art and wine fest.

From the City of Dublin:

The City of Dublin is proud to present “splatter, not your ordinary food, wine and art festival” on Saturday, September 22, 2012.

splatter” captures the excitement of the food entertainment industry with the inclusion of a culinary performance stage, a fleet of food trucks, and tastings of the world class wines of the Livermore Valley along with the diverse locally crafted foods of the Tri-Valley region.

Celebrity Chef Ryan Scott will be featured at the Culinary Stage from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Accompanying Ryan will be his camera crew from his brand new KGO TV Show “Food Rush.” The film crew will be capturing Ryan’s stage appearance. The Culinary Stage will also feature Chef Matt Greco, Executive Chef of The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards; Instagram sensation, My Nguyen; Chef Marc Martinez, Executive Chef of Johnny Garlic’s in Dublin; and Food Network gold medal winning culinary artist and food sculptor, Chef Ray Duey.

“splatter” will make use of conventional and non-conventional mediums to create large-scale artworks and interactive experiences during the event. Works of chalk, fruits and vegetables, bubbles, paint, and canned foods will be created on-site for the audience to enjoy and, in some cases, participate in. Featured activities at the event include “Backseat Theatre,” an opportunity for patrons to enjoy short comedic plays performed in a most unconventional venue – a car; and Canstruction®, a monumental sculpture constructed out of canned food, all of which will be donated to Tri-Valley Haven and Open Heart Kitchen after the event.

General admission to “splatter” is free. There are both free and pay-to-play activities. Pay-to-play tickets can be purchased at the event. Tickets, or “passports” for the Tasting Pavilion are available online at www.dublinsplatter.com. A limited number of passports will be sold at the pre-event rate of $25.00. Each passport includes an event wine glass and allows 20 tastes of any combination of food and wine. The deadline to pre-purchase passports is Friday, September 21 at 12:00 noon, or until sold out. All pre-purchased passports will be available at Will Call at the entry to the Tasting Pavilion.

“splatter” is a program of the City of Dublin’s Parks and Community Services Department. For more information call (925) 556-4500.
