BART Protesters Out in Force

BART employees took to the street corners on both sides of the Dublin Pleasanton BART station this morning.

About 40 protesters with signs demonstrated on the corner of Dublin Boulevard and DeMarcus Boulevard as cars passing by honked.

One of the protesters who did not identify himself said the protestors had been there since 2 a.m.

A steady stream of buses stopped by the Pleasanton side of the BART station and the deserted BART parking lot.

Despite the lack of BART service, traffic at 9 a.m. on both I-580 and I-680 was moving steadily and appeared to be about the same as usual for a Monday morning commute. Read what people are saying online about the BART strike.
