10 Candidates Apply For Swalwell's Old Dublin Council Seat

Three candidates who ran in last year's council race and two current planning commissioners have applied for the position.

There won't be a shortage of options for the Dublin City Council when it appoints a new person to the council, which is expected to happen on Tuesday.

Ten people, including three candidates who ran for City Council last year and two planning commissioners, applied for the seat which was vacated after Rep. Eric Swalwell won his seat in Congress, the Contra Costa Times reported.

Doreen Wehrenberg, Anita Carr and Shawn Costello all applied after losing in the City Council election last year.
