Woman Arrested in Dublin on Suspicion of Attempted Murder After Stabbing at Pleasanton Jack in the Box

Jazmine Vasquez was arrested after she was found at a family member's home in Dublin

On April 13 at 4:33 a.m., Pleasanton Police Department received a panic alarm from Jack in the Box at 4295 Valley Avenue. Officers arrived and discovered a male employee had been stabbed multiple times by a female suspect, later identified to be Jazmine Vasquez, approximately 30 minutes prior to the employees setting off the panic alarm.

Vasquez was last seen fleeing on foot eastbound on Valley Avenue by employees. She was identified by multiple witnesses who were on scene at Jack in the Box at the time of the incident. The victim was transported to Eden Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries and released.

Pleasanton Police Department detectives arrived on scene and through their investigation viewed surveillance video showing Vasquez retrieving an object from her purse and moments later stab the victim multiple times in the back and neck area. Vasquez was last seen on surveillance video exiting Jack in the Box and walking eastbound. 

On April 13, around 4:15 p.m. detectives developed information as to where Vasquez was and she was arrested without incident at 4:57 p.m. at a family member’s home in Dublin.
