Ruth Carpizo, 7, who attends Donlon Elementary in Pleasanton, fell 35 feet through a screen window onto asphalt on April 30 while she was talking to neighbors outside. Over $27,000 has been raised for Carpizo's medical expenses.

Two East Bay Women IDd as Victims of Limo Fire

Jenni Balon, 39, of Dublin and Anna Alcantara, 46, of San Lorenzo were among the women who perished in the limousine fire Saturday on the San Mateo Bridge, according to news reports. Balon leaves behind a husband and two children. Read the full story here.

Newsweek has ranked Dublin High as the 424th best high school in the country.

'Bike to Work Day' Draws Over 500 Cyclists
Over 550 cyclists visited the two “Energizer Stations” set up at both Dublin/Pleasanton BART stations, according to a statement released by the City of Dublin. Nine Bay Area counties participated in the annual event held on May 9.
