Week in Review: Body Found in Trash Can, Second Dry Cleaner Robbery, Smith Yet to be Charged in Fatal Hit and Run

Body dumped in Pleasanton: A in Pleasanton on Thursday. The body was inside a trash can on Dublin Canyon Road near Laurel Creek Drive. The Alameda County coroner's bureau was able to determine the body was that of a woman but her identity and cause of death have yet to be determined. The grim discovery had lead to some speculation that the body was that of , the 15-year-old missing teen from Morgan Hill.

Fifty Shades of Grey Controversy: An article in the “New York Times” this week brought up the controversy some libraries are having over the uber-popular erotic novel, Fifty Shades of Grey series being stocked in public libraries. The Alameda County libraries have it in circulation with a long waiting list for getting a copy.

Dry cleaners robbed at gunpoint: A man with a black handgun robbed Hacienda Dry Cleaners on Wednesday afternoon. The man is described as a white man between 50 and 55 years old. This is the in Dublin in the past four weeks.

Spencer Freeman Smith not yet charged: Charges have not yet been filed against Spencer Freeman Smith in the last week. Smith is currently out on bail and police are still investigating the collision.
