UPDATE: Three Arrested After Residential Burglary

Dublin police say they have three people in custody.

Three men have been arrested after police say they interrupted residential burglary in the area of Southwick Drive and Bloomington Way in Dublin.

"Around 11:48 a.m., passerby called 911 about a suspicious vehicle and the call was transferred to Dublin Police," said Lieutenant Herb Walters. "Our officers arrived in the area and saw a vehicle matching that description parked on nearby Rhoda Avenue. The officers were investigating the car and the homes in the area when they noticed a side gate to a residence was open. When the officers entered the yard to check, three suspects ran out. Two of the suspects were arrested and the other fled."

Walters said officers set up a perimeter with the help of the Alameda County Sheriff's K9 units and locked down for about 60 minutes as a precaution.

"Once we determined we had the suspect contained and it was safe, we reopened the school," commented Walters. "The third suspect, who was detained in the 8300 block of Vomac Road, was arrested at about 1:48 p.m. We are still confirming if the suspects made entry into the homes or if they we interrupted them before they got in."

According to Walters, no one was injured during the incident.

Arrested on suspicion of residential burglary were Jayvonn D. McGolther, 19, Dennis J. Windham, 19, and Edwin D. Tobie, 19. All three arrested are from San Francisco.
