State of the City Address Postponed for BART Officer's Funeral
The "State of the City" Luncheon has been moved to Wednesday, February 26, at 11:30 a.m. at the Shannon Community Center in Dublin
Officials at the City of Dublin have announced that the “State of the City” address has been postponed out of respect for the family of Sergeant Tom Smith.
The "State of the City" Luncheon was originally planned for Wednesday, Jan. 29. The address will now take place on Wednesday, February 26, at 11:30 a.m. at the Shannon Community Center in Dublin, according to the city website.

In the announcement Mayor Tim Sbranti said:
“Out of respect for Sgt. Smith and his family, the Chamber of Commerce and I feel that it would be best to postpone our ‘State of the City’ address. We offer our deepest sympathies to Sergeant Smith’s family, as well as to the entire BART police department, during this difficult time.”
