Jose Luis Franco, 57, was found riding a bike in Dublin at around 9:30 p.m. and was taken back to jail without incident, the dispatcher said.
"He ran but he got caught," the dispatcher said.
Franco was returning from court this afternoon when he "somehow was able to breach the wall of the jail," sheriff's spokesman Sgt. J.D. Nelson said earlier today. Franco, who was in jail for burglary charges out of Oakland, was reported missing at around 2 p.m.
