Police Log: Fires; Burglaries; Plus, Youth Academy Starts Soon

A robbery, noise problems, and more incidents encountered June 30 to July 6.

The Dublin Police Youth Academy begins July 22 and provides a unique inside look for students, ages 14 to 18, interested in the criminal justice field.

The free, week-long program, held at the Dublin Civic Center, includes tours of local law enforcement stations, education on specific elements of the law enforcement profession, and interactive and physical training exercises.

  • Public intoxication reported 3:01 a.m. Central Parkway and Hacienda Drive.
  • Possession of narcotics for sale 6:58 p.m. on 4900 Dublin Boulevard.
  • Noise complaint filed 7:45 a.m. on 6300 Village Parkway.
Tuesday, July 2
  • Vehicle tampering/theft of parts reported 8:40 a.m. on 4100 Dublin Boulevard.
  • Grand theft from building on 7800 Amador Valley Boulevard 10:25 a.m.
  • Abandoned vehicle towed 8:27 p.m. Dougherty and Fall Creek roads.
  • Vandalism reported noon on 300 block of Shavano Way.
Monday, July 1
  • Burglaries: 9:16 a.m. and 1:09 p.m. along 7600 Dublin Boulevard.
  • Commercial burglary reported 6:55 p.m. on 21500 San Ramon Valley Boulevard.
  • Two vegetation fires, possibly caused by fireworks, Sunol Boulevard, Bernal Avenue and I-680 12:20 a.m.
  • Robbery at Bank of the West reported 12:55 p.m. on 100 Sunset Drive, San Ramon.
Sunday, June 30 
  • Use/influence of controlled substances reported 1:48 a.m. San Ramon Road and Dublin Boulevard.
  • Robbery reported 5:50 p.m. on the 2800 block of Dublin Boulevard.
  • Grand theft of vehicle parts reported 6 p.m. along 9800 Davona Drive. 
  • Noise complaints: 11:35 a.m. on 6400 Dougherty Road; 2:49 p.m. on 6600 South Mariposa Lane.
  • Unlicensed motorist cited 9:14 a.m. on 7500 Dublin Boulevard.
  • Motorist with false proof of registration cited 7:16 p.m. Dougherty Road and Dublin Boulevard.
