Police Log: Do You Drive A 'Top Ten Most Stolen Vehicle'?

Dublin bicyclist killed on Foothill. A driver arrested in Dublin after DUI crash on Hopyard. And, more from June 2 to 8.

A Dublin woman was killed Sunday afternoon while bicycling with her husband on Foothill Road. Full story here.

In other news, a suspected drunken driver on Tuesday allegedly fled the scene of a three-car collision on Hopyard Road and was arrested a short time later in Dublin for suspected driving under the influence, causing an injury accident while under the influence, hit-and-run and driving on a suspended license, Pleasanton Police Department records state.

The motorist, a 52-year-old Hayward man, reportedly rear-ended a Mercedes at the Hopyard and Owens Drive intersection, sending that car into another vehicle. The man indicated to the Mercedes driver that they would pull over out of traffic's way, but instead, he left the scene, driving off toward Dublin, police records state.

The Mercedes driver was transported to a hospital for neck and back injuries. The owner of the third vehicle involved reported no injuries. The alleged hit-and-run driver, meanwhile, was apprehended shortly after the crash at 7 p.m. at the 76 station on Dougherty Road and Dublin Boulevard, police said.
