Police Log: Car Thefts; Burglaries; Plus Did Tipsy Man Make His Flight?

Notable incidents encountered Nov. 4 to 10.

Vehicles were reported stolen and some burglaries were logged last week by Dublin Police Services.

A double arrest , meanwhile, was also made midweek of two men on suspected car theft and other charges. 

And on the morning of Oct. 4, a man was spotted by deputies reportedly staggering down Dougherty Road, even tumbling into a planter, at one point, according to files.

The individual told police he had "a couple drinks" at the home of a Dublin friend and was enroute to BART, headed to the airport to catch a flight home to Chicago, reports state.

Whether he caught his plane is uncertain, as the 24-year-old subsequently was arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail for alleged public intoxication.

  • Suspected driving under the influence arrest made of female 9:13 p.m. along 4800 Hacienda Drive, and another motorist 12:09 a.m. on I-580 at El Charro Road.
  • Car break-ins reported on 100 Civic Plaza at 5:46 p.m., and on San Ramon Valley Boulevard at Morgan Drive, time unknown.

  • Triple arrest for suspected use/influence of controlled substances 10:46 p.m. on 6600 Regional Street of a Carmichael woman, 49, a Sacramento man, 29, and another male, age and hometown unavailable.

Sunday, Nov. 4

  • Pleasant Hill male, 43, arrested 8:21 a.m. for suspected DUI, use/influence of controlled substances and paraphernalia possession on 4500 Dublin Boulevard.
  • Porterville male, 29, arrested 2:56 p.m. on 7200 Amador Plaza Road for suspected burglary/shoplifting.
