Police Execute 7 Search Warrants in 5 Cities for Illegal Marijuana Cultivation

Several warehouses and homes, along with one business were searched.


Seven search warrants were served today in Dublin, San Leandro, Castro Valley, Oakland and Danville in connection to illegal marijuana grows, police officials say.

Officers from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, Pleasanton Police and the Alameda County Narcotics Task Force assisted the Dublin Police Services Special Investigations Unit during the execution of the warrants.

According to police, warehouses in Dublin, San Leandro and Oakland, along with one business and homes in Dublin, Castro Valley, and Danville were all searched. Police say the warrants are linked to three individuals who are growing marijuana illegally.

In a statement released by police, the multi-city warrant service was a result of a six week investigation which originated in Dublin. Police say they are still determining the number of illegal plants seized during the warrant services.
