Police Beat: Arrest on Fraud Charge; Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Soliciting Sex from Undercover Cop

A list of recent arrests by Dublin police.

Police made several arrests at Amador Plaza last week in separate incidents, including one last Wednesday afternoon in which two Oakland women were charged with burglary, fraud and petty theft.  Also, police reported an arrest made late last month by an undercover officer who set up a sting operation through the Internet.

Friday, Aug. 27

  • Police Arrest 21-year-old Sacramento Woman on Charges of Internet Prostitution: A 21-year-old woman from Sacramento was arrested at 5:49 p.m. on the 4900 block of Hacienda Drive on charges of soliciting prostitution. Police reported that "the suspect placed an advertisement on an Internet site" soliciting sex for money. Authorities said an undercover officer set up a sting operation in which the suspect tried to exchange sex for $250.

  • A 29-year-old man from San Ramon was arrested on the 7200 block of Amador Plaza at 2:38 a.m.  on multiple violations, including charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence. He was also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

Saturday, Sept. 11

  • A 23-year-old man from Hayward was arrested on a warrant at the intersection of Dublin Boulevard and San Ramon Valley Boulevard at 10:58 a.m.
  • A 33-year-old man from Walnut Creek was arrested on suspicion of petty theft on the 4800 block of Dublin Boulevard at 3:45 p.m.
  • A 46-year-old man from Dublin was arrested on charges of driving under the influence at the intersection of Hybernia Drive and Summer Glen Drive at 6 p.m.

  • A 33-year-old man from San Leandro was arrested on an outstanding warrant on the 5300 block of Broder Boulevard at 10:30 a.m.

Monday, Sept. 13

  • A 31-year-old woman from San Jose was arrested on the 4000 block of Hacienda Drive at 1:17 a.m. on several misdemeanor counts, including driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
  • A 29-year-old Newman man was arrested on an outstanding warrant at 7:25 p.m. at the intersection of Dublin Boulevard and Fallon Road.

Tuesday, Sept. 14

  • A 27-year-old man from Antioch was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed firearm at the intersection of Castle Drive and Shadow Drive at 7:30 p.m.
  • A 31-year-old man from Tracy was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on the 3000 block of Hacienda Drive at 11:22 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 15

  • Two Arrested for Burglary, Fraud: Two women, a 20-year-old and 27-year-old, were arrested on felony charges of fraud and burglary on the 7200 block of Amador Plaza at 4:40 p.m. The Oakland residents also were also charged with petty theft.
