Overnight Burglary at Target

The initial estimated loss at Target was about $15,000 worth of electronics.

- Information received from Dublin Police

responded to a burglary in progress at the  in East Dublin located at 2800 Dublin Boulevard on Jan. 19 about 2:50am. 

Target Security reported three unidentified subjects used crowbars to gain entry through the loading dock area. The suspects were seen taking high end electronics (cameras, IPODs, Kindles, laptops).

Dublin Police arrived and noticed a Ford SUV leaving the rear of Target at a high rate of speed. Units attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to stop.

Dublin Police pursued the vehicle onto westbound I580 towards Castro Valley.  While pursuing the vehicle, the suspects were throwing the stolen merchandise out of the windows. The pursuit continued into Castro Valley, where units lost the suspect vehicle.

Dublin Police Investigations will be working closely with Target Security in this case.
