Deputies from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office found Chiyogi Cho Tanisawa, an 80-year-old old man with Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes, around 5:00 p.m. last night at Laney College, Alameda County Sheriff's Sergeant JD Nelson said.
According to Nelson, Tanisawa was not sick or injured when he was found. Nelson said Tanisawa had simply "wandered off."
It is not known how Tanisawa ended up at the college.
Tanisawa walked away from his home in San Lorenzo yesterday morning at about 7:30 a.m. and had been listed as a "missing person at risk."
