Man Found Dead in Livermore

No obvious signs of anything suspicious, police say.

Police on Wednesday were investigating a man's death at the in Livermore, Lt. Ava Garavatti said.

There were no obvious signs of anything suspicious, Garavatti said of the initial investigation. The man is described to be in his 40s.

At about 2:30 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to 1125 Portola Ave. for a man found dead.

Authorities during the investigation taped off the area and were redirecting pedestrians, telling them they couldn't enter a crime scene.

Police also took pictures of a shattered window at the apartment.

In addition, police questioned a woman.

"I grabbed him and told him to wake up! Wake up!" the woman told police.

The woman, who got into a heated conversation with police, also was treated for an injury to her right hand.

Livermore Patch will update this story as more information is made available.

The photo that accompanies the story does not look like an apartment complex. Is that just a 'stock' photo or something?

Hi Andy. The photo is of the actual "crime scene." I snapped the picture before police extended the police tape further away from the apartment unit and onto the sidewalk.
