Dublin's National Night Out in Photos

Neighbors in Dublin came together to have fun and send a message to criminals that crime in the community won't be tolerated.

Neighborhoods throughout Dublin took to the streets to celebrate last night for the thirtieth anniversary of National Night Out. 

An annual event, National Night Out is the one night set aside each year for neighbors to connect not only to rally against crime but to raise awareness and promote community relationships with emergency responders.

The first National Night Out in 1981 and has grown from 2.5 million participants to over 37 million people from all over the country, according to the National Night Out website.

Police, fire and city officials made the rounds, visiting the neighborhood parties in Dublin throughout the evening to support the community in the fight against crime.

In Dublin, hundreds of residents were out in force to take part in National Night Out. Neighbors celebrated with ice cream socials, barbecues and large block parties. Take a look and see if you recognize anyone in these photos.
