Dublin Police Cracking Down on 'Distracted Driving'

Police are asking drivers to put away those cell phones while driving.

During the entire month of April, Dublin Police Services will be participating in the Distracted Driving Awareness Month campaign.

Lieutenant Herb Walters wrote, via email:

"We will be conducting zero tolerance enforcement. Us, along with over 255 local agencies and CHP will be conducting this enforcement."

The National Safety Council wants drivers to take their pledge to help stop texting and driving. Take the pledge by clicking here.

Nearby, Pleasanton Police are participating in the campaign against distracted driving.
