A dead body was found in a van parked outside of Nob Hill Foods Thursday afternoon.

The body of Alden Mah, 53, is currently being held by the Alameda County coroner's bureau, which will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The coroner's bureau has so far been unable to determine where Mah
lived or how he died. According to staff, it may take as long as 2 months to hear the cause of his death.

RIP Alden. I remember running through the golf course at night catching toads, getting candy at the store down the street from your parent's house on Bay Farm with you , your sister, my sister and me... Wow that was 40+ years ago. We will miss you.-Sandy
