Crews Extinguish Fourth of July Fire On the Iron Horse Trail

The fire charred about 20 feet by 30 feet of land after it consumed the dry brush.

Firefighters from Alameda County Fire Department and Camp Parks Fire Department quickly extinguished a small brush fire that started on the Iron Horse Trail in Dublin yesterday. The fire was reported just before just before 7:30 p.m. on July 4 along the east side of the trail, behind Dublin High School.

Alameda County Fire Department spokesperson Aisha Knowles says three fire crews responded to knock down the outside fire, which burned approximately 20 feet by 50 feet of the dry vegetation alongside the trail.  

According to Knowles, no one was injured during the fire, no homes were threatened and the cause of the fire has not been determined.
